How do we ensure that our children are able to understand the difference between right and wrong and are able to take morally just and ethically right decision?

This debate has been going on for ages and still needs an answer. Growing Right (A Book on Moral Values) is a series of eight books for classes 1 to 8, on value education, which aims to answer this question.

The guiding value of this series will help them to explore life and achieve more, while being firmly rooted to the ground, without losing their self respect. The series is specially designed to mould the students to become responsible members of the society. lt aims at the all round development of the students.

The books teach values such as honesty, respect, perseverance, sharing, caring, patience, harmony, moral courage, patriotism among many others. It aims to help the young learners to recognize their own responsibility towards their environment and to instil in them the values that are vital to a successful and logically productive life.

Each book incorporates these values through a number of stories from history, folk tales, fables. real life events and world literature which steers the children indirectly towards the right path. Careful reading and understanding of the text and skillful imbibing of the values will ensure an ethical strong base.
